We were incredibly blessed with a wonderful summer, and what has turned into a great fall. Over the summer, we added a pool and minivan to our lives. Dawna took a new job, and the girls started school. Alexandra made it through a tonsillectomy and is a happier, healthier six year old these days. She is a blossoming first grader, and Ella rules the halls of her preschool. As the kids get older, and life gets busier, time seems to pass in much more of a hurry than it used to. While I sit down to write this latest update, I look outside and see that the tree in the front yard is stil clinging onto it's leaves. It's incredible that a tree has the ability to keep its leaves well into January, much past the time the other trees have surrendered to winter. In much the same way the Shroads Family is still holding on to the memories of the last few months, hoping to keep the warmth and fun around, just a little longer. Enjoy these photos and the change of seasons with us. We'll see you all again after the holidays, when winter has us in it's icy fingers.
